Set in the Dominican Republic, this immersive experience invites participants to engage with the island not as tourists, but as people tracing what was carried and preserved across generations. Through writing, conversation, history, and cultural immersion, El Retorno becomes a space to return to the stories that were always ours, even when they were left untold.
El Retorno creates space to explore what it means to be Dominican beyond borders: to sit with ancestry, confront erasure, and honor the fullness of Blackness within Dominican identity.

Guided storytelling sessions designed to help participants explore memory, migration, family history, identity, and belonging through personal narrative and creative writing.
